I recently found out the course (innovative product design, duncan of jordanstone college or art & design) i previously studied have been selected to represent the UK on a project with microsoft! The project is called Expo 2008 and It sounds very exciting! Every year the design brief asks for exceptional ideas and solutions that think beyond traditional design, which will improve the daily life of users in a variety of ways. This years focus is on eduation and learning! The students from the scottish city will be competing against other students from all around the world. The IPD course at the University of Dundee was first approached by Microsoft to participate in the Expo in July 2007 after seeing our show at the new designers exhibtion last summer, they were impressed by the direction of the work and the less traditional approach to product design. All i can say is good luck guys and i cant wait to see the results! To see more see the link below!
